Solve Mirror Isles by moving mirrors to transfer people and stones between islands; for the distant upper-left goal, relay four stones ahead and move the person last. In this eastern region, your character pushes objects while mirrors provide the crossings. This Order of the Sinking Star Mirror Isles walkthrough covers the relay, two-person puzzles, and stone duplication; return to the order of the sinking star walkthrough when you want to choose another region.
How do mirrors work in the Mirror Isles puzzles?
Push the mirrors into position, then use their transfers to reach another island or get onto the side of an object you need to push.
The opening puzzles look like gaps you need to bridge. Read them as mirror-positioning problems: transferring changes where you can stand, and pushing a mirror changes where you can go next. In the introductory sequence, transfer to one island, move sideways, then transfer again to the lower island. Check that your character lands on the intended island before setting up the next crossing.
With two mirrors, you can also move a mirror after the first transfer to set up a different destination. The characters here have the same pushing ability; for the separate northern region, see order of the sinking star heroes of hauling.

Set up both the object and your standing position before transferring. The useful check is where you land relative to the next push, rather than simply whether you crossed successfully.

Move the stone into a pushable position, advance it one square, then transfer to obtain the pushing position. A player working through this sequence first placed things incorrectly, then solved the setup by transferring before the push. Check that you can stand on the side needed to push the stone forward.
How do you solve the Mirror Isles four-rock relay?
Count the squares, transfer the stepping stone and the additional stone before the person, and leave the second person behind to reposition the mirror.
The distant upper-left goal looks like a long stone bridge problem. It is a relay: you reuse mirror transfers to advance the route in stages. These two people are independently controlled, so press C to switch between them.
- Plan the four-stone route. Count the board squares or draw the route before pushing. Check each intended landing square against the mirror position; guessing the distance makes it easy to drift off the route.
- Transfer the first stepping stone. Set it up as the intermediate foothold. Check that the stone has reached the planned square before sending anything else.
- Transfer the additional stone. It also needs to be reflected for the next stage. Check that both required stones are in place while the intermediate foothold is still free of a person.
- Move the person last. Transfer onto the prepared foothold only after the stone setup is finished. Check that the person lands on the stone and the other person remains available to move the mirror.
- Switch to the person left behind. Push the mirror up for the stone transfer, bring it back for the next transfer, then push it right to continue the route. After each repositioning, check the transferred stone's landing before moving the traveller again.
- Repeat the relay. Keep sending the required stones ahead of the traveller. The completion check is both people reaching their destinations, including the far upper-left goal.
Do not send the traveller ahead early. Standing on the intermediate stone prevents another stone from being placed there, blocking the next setup. Counting squares is the steadier approach: one player drew a route before starting this four-rock relay.
How do you get two people to two goals in Mirror Isles?
Use parallel mirrors to create a second person, then guide the pair together because the copies respond to the same movement inputs.
Check the duplication by pressing a direction: both people move in that direction. Watch both positions before the next input, especially beside water. In this sequence, place one person toward the lower-left first, then work the pair across to their destinations.
Avoid creating a third person. An extra copy prevents completion of this two-goal puzzle. Check that you have exactly two people and finish with one at each goal.
How do you merge two people when there is only one goal?
Reverse the mirror duplication setup to merge the two people into one, then take that person to the single goal.
For the two people one goal puzzle, adjust their spacing and mirror setup so they combine. Check that only one person remains before heading to the destination.
Trying to remove a person by transferring them into the sea fails the puzzle: the goal turns black. Merge the people instead.
How does the Mirror Isles infinite stone bridge work?
Duplicate a stone with the two mirrors, transfer it into a stepping position, then repeat the duplication to extend the bridge.
The single goal is your clue to copy stones rather than people. Transfer the left stone across and check that it gives you another foothold. Then repeat the copying setup: check that another stone appears before advancing onto the next part of the bridge. Keep extending the footholds toward the goal instead of treating the first copied stone as your entire supply.
Completing these puzzles gets the required people to their goals: two people for the relay and paired-goal puzzle, one merged person for the single-goal puzzle, and a stone crossing for the bridge.
